An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Six-Sheet Movie Poster (6sh; measures 81" x 81" [206 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Ian Fleming's You Only Live Twice, the 1967 Lewis Gilbert English James Bond 007 secret agent spy espionage fantasy action adventure thriller ("...and 'Twice' is the only way to live!"; "Sean Connery IS James Bond"; "First Then Next Last"; "This man is James Bond!"; based on the story by Ian Fleming) starring Sean Connery, Akiko Wakabayashi, Mie Hama, Donald Pleasence (as Blofeld), Bernard Lee (as "M"), Lois Maxwell (as Miss Moneypenny), Desmond Llewelyn (as "Q"), Tetsuro Tanba, Karin Dor, and Tsai Chin NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Robert McGinnis & Frank McCarthy Important Added Info: Note that we have twice seen this poster where there is a large black snipe glued over the word "IS" between "SEAN CONNERY" and "JAMES BOND". A James Bond expert tells us that Connery was fighting to have "Sean Connery is James Bond" replaced with "Sean Connery as James Bond", and these posters were sniped to remove the printed "is". We have also seen two examples of this poster without the snipe, so those likely were distributed before the snipes could be put on. For his next Bond film, "Diamonds Are Forever", Connery got his wish and all posters were printed with "as". Also note that this six-sheet was printed in 4 sections designed to overlap. Condition: good to very good. Someone glued a black paper snipe over the word "IS" between "SEAN CONNERY" and "JAMES BOND" (see above). It would need to be removed by a professional or a very talented amateur, and we don't know how easy or difficult that would be, and whether the poster would need paint restoration in that area afterwards. Otherwise, there is some darkening on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded, but it has little effect on the front. So other than the above snipe, the poster is in pretty nice condition, but bear that odd defect in mind before placing a bid on this wonderful poster. Learn More about condition grades
