Yet Dead! She's Dead... Yet Alive!"; "Doomed to be one of the 'walking dead' by weird and wily witchcraft... her radiant blonde loveliness ravaged through the curse of vengeful voodoo!"; "Who said the dead don't walk!"; "See It Happen - right before your startled eyes..in the screen sensation that rips the mask from the darkest secrets of forbidden voodoo!"; "Forbidden voodoo secrets sensationally revealed!"; "Voodoo... Black magic... Witchcraft... From the land of the living dead!"; "You won't believe it, but it's true!"; "Imagine yourself perhaps hungering for love - dying for just one warm kiss... yet alone in a world of people... a part of, yet apart from, everything you hold dear. Wow! What a Spot!"; "Based on an Original Story by Inez Wallace", very loosely based on the novel 'Jane Eyre' by Charlotte Bronte; "Screenplay by Curt Siodmak & Ardel Wray") starring James Ellison, Frances Dee, Tom Conway, Edith Barrett, James Bell, Christine Gordon, and Darby Jones NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned four examples of this first release one-sheet, and the last one sold for $5,850! Not only that, but we only auctioned two in the past eight years, and both those were on linen and both showed signs of the restoration of the clear defects, and the two before that were from 18 years ago and 29 years ago (so long ago that we can't be certain of the exact condition of either of them, but they likely were similar to the other two)! Clearly, this is a poster that lots of collectors would love to own, but it is especially hard to find (which is true of many RKO posters made during World War II)! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the middle crossfold, with tiny paper loss at the other folds. It had just a few tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds. It had an uneven 4" tear in the right of the top fold, in the bottom of the hand, but there was no paper loss on the tear. It had some vertical creases above the eye at top center. It had some pinholes, tears, and paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed and it displays really well and I would think that the vast majority of collectors would be very happy to display this extremely rare and desirable poster on their wall!
