Jones (in the title role as Flash Gordon), Melody Anderson (as Dale Arden), Ornella Muti (as Princess Aura), Max Von Sydow (as The Emperor Ming), Topol (as Dr. Zarkov), Timothy Dalton (as Prince Barin), Mariangela Melato ("as Kala"), Brian Blessed, and Peter Wyngarde NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Philip Castle Important Added Info: Note that there are two different styles of this foil advance, one horizontal and one vertical. Both posters have artwork by Philip Castle, but the art is laid out differently on each poster, and there is a different border design to each poster. Also, the horizontal one is printed on a heavy stock with a glossy foil-like printing. One collector tells us that he attended a trade show where Universal Studios was exhibiting, and they gave out samples of the horizontal poster, but we don't know if they were also sent to theaters. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has some faint creases and scuffs in the black background area. It has probably survived in about as nice condition as one would hope to find this heavy stock foil poster.
