An Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Publicity Still (Learn More) Robert Guillaume was a black African American movie and TV actor from the 1960s to the present. He is best remembered for his role as Benson in TV's "Soap", and its spin-off "Benson" (in the title role). Some of his movies include: Lean on Me, The Lion King (as the voice of Rafiki), and Big Fish. He was also a fine singer, and he played the lead in The Phantom of the Opera on stage. Guillaume passed away in 2017 at the age of 89. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Robert Guillaume! Also note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" (or smaller) copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original theater-used stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall! Note that our consignor has been an autograph collector for many decades! He started when he was a teenager, going to stage shows and other places where he could find celebrities, and he would bring photos for them to sign, and over the years, he has continued this in many different locations, and he has an immense collection of signed items (he has also traded some of his for others, but only when he feels he is surely getting genuine ones!), and he has consigned a small portion of his collection to this set of auctions!
