Important Added Info: Note that over the years we have auctioned a few "proof" stills from major movies like this one. These were printed on a different paper stock without any words, and they were looked at by people from the studio who would then either mark them as "good" or as "rejected", or as needing corrections. Such proof stills are extremely rare! But what we have here is REALLY unusual! It is both the proof image of Lon Chaney Jr. in full Frankenstein makeup sitting with Evelyn Ankers by a globe, and there were two mistakes in the image that needed touch up. One is a marl on Lon Chaney's forehead and the other is Ankers' nylon stocking near her ankle which had bunched up. The other is a final proof of the exact same still but with the corrections having been made. So the winner of this auction gets both the uncorrected and corrected proofs! Condition: very good.
