It's also the story of that girl he met on a blind date!"; "The True Romance of The Year"; about Chicago White Sox baseball pitcher Monty Stratton, who lost his leg; with an Academy Award winning screenplay by Douglas Morrow) starring James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart; in the title role as Monty Stratton), June Allyson, Frank Morgan, Agnes Moorehead, Bill Williams, Gene Bearden (as himself), and Holmes Herbert (uncredited as the doctor). Note that Gene Bearden was the real life baseball World Series hero from the 1949 Cleveland Indians, and also was Rookie of the Year. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 14 1/4" x 18 1/2" [36 x 47 cm]. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards).
