An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41 3/4" x 78 1/2") (Learn More) The War Wagon, the 1967 Burt Kennedy cowboy western ("The war wagon rolls and the screen explodes!"; "Screenplay by Clair Huffaker based on his book 'Badman'") starring John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, Howard Keel (as Native American Levi Walking Bear!), Robert Walker, Keenan Wynn, Bruce Cabot, and Joanna Barnes. Note that this was surely one of the only movies where John Wayne played a "bad guy"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had some small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, smudges, tears, and tiny paper loss on parts of some foldlines. There was a triangular stain in the cheek of John Wayne's face at center, and some smudges and stains scattered through the rest of the poster. There were some creases, tears, and tiny areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
