A 1976 Re-Release Theatrical Tri-Folded Japanese "B2" Movie Poster (measures 20 1/4" x 28 5/8" [51 x 73 cm]) (Learn More) Africa Addio (released in the U.S. in 1967), the 1966 Gualtiero Jacopetti & Franco E. Prosperi Italian documentary ("Every scene looks you straight in the eye ...and spits!"; "This is Africa like it is! Where black is beautiful! Black is ugly! Black is brutal!"; "A film conceived, written and directed by Jacopetti and Prosperi"; "From the men who gave you Mondo Cane"; "Consumed by savagery! Conceived in blood!"; "Savagery! Brutality! Inhumanity! In bathed the world in blood!"; about Africa's transition from white colonialism to independent black statehood, and all of the violent atrocities that resulted from the sudden change; from the producers of the 'Mondo Cane' movies). Note that this movie had a limited release in the U.S. in 1967 under its original title. In 1970, a distributor re-cut the movie and re-released it in the U.S. under the much more appealing title of "Africa Blood and Guts"! We have never seen or heard of posters from that limited 1967 U.S. release (if anyone has, please send us an image!). If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only auctioned one example of this poster before (and that was 18 years ago)! Also note that this poster was tri-folded only (which means there is no vertical machine fold) but because it would be more expensive to send flat, it will be sent rolled in a tube.
