A Linenbacked Belgian Art Exhibition Poster (measures 37" x 45 1/4" [94 x 115 cm]) (Learn More) Les Arts Au XVIIeme Siecle (literally translates to "The Arts In The 17th Century"), the 1910 Belgian poster promoting an artwork exhibition which was held at the Parc du Cinquantenaire (Park of the Fiftieth Anniversary) from May to November. This exhibition was part of the 1910 Belgian World's Fair (Exposition Universelle et Internationale - Brussels International 1910). The Parc du Cinquantenaire (also known as Cinquantenaire) is a large public park in Brussels. Most buildings of the complex which dominate the park were commissioned under the patronage of King Leopold II for the 1880 National Exhibition commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of Belgian independence. Note that this poster features Florimond van Acker artwork of Albert VII (Archduke of Austria) and his wife Isabella Clara Eugenia visiting Brussels in 1567. Artist: Florimond van Acker Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny bits of surface paper loss on parts of the horizontal fold, and some tiny paper loss in the bottom border. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking.
