An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

Shockproof, the 1949 Douglas Sirk romantic crime film noir ("Their marriage made them fugitives..."; "How much can a man learn about a woman ...and still remain shockproof?"; "Written by Helen Deutsch and Samuel Fuller"; about a parole officer who takes an interest in a beautiful young parolee, and he hires her to take care of his blind mother, but he wants much more from her) starring Cornel Wilde, Patricia Knight, John Baragrey, Esther Minciotti, Howard St. John, Russell Collins, and Charles Bates. Note that this movie was written by future director Sam Fuller, who had written a bunch of screenplays before this one, but who immediately after this movie was allowed to direct his own screenplay. This movie was directed by Douglas Sirk, famous for his soap opera melodramas, and the combination of Sirk and Sam Fuller made for an unusual mix of sappy romance and action film noir!
