Date Sold 6/24/2021Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 2 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Cat's Paw (The Cat's-Paw), the 1934 Sam Taylor political crime comedy ("From the Saturday Evening Post story by Clarence Budington Kelland"; "Everything new but these [glasses]"; Lloyd is a missionary's son who returns from many years in China to his home town in California, and local crooked politicians set him up as an "in name only" Mayor, but he takes the job seriously and tries to reform the town; when they frame him with fake evidence of wrongdoings, he uses an ancient Chinese method, and puts all the crooks in a cellar, and tells them he will execute them all if they don't confess, and then he uses a Chinese illusion to "behead" two of them, whereupon they all confess; certainly, a very unusual comedy!) starring Harold Lloyd, Una Merkel, George Barbier, Nat Pendleton, Grace Bradley, Alan Dinehart and Grant Mitchell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is from a group lobby cards found in a collection of cards that were all found at the same time, and they are all from 1934 or 1935, and many of them are from extremely rare titles. HOWEVER, ALL WERE HEAVILY STAINED AND HAVE OTHER DEFECTS. But of course, any or all of them could be restored, but bear in mind their VERY significant condition defects before bidding on them.
