An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card #1 Test Print (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Ian Fleming's Goldfinger, the classic 1964 Guy Hamilton English James Bond 007 spy espionage fantasy action adventure thriller ("James Bond is back in action!"; "Everything he touches turns to excitement!!!"; based on the novels by Ian Fleming) starring Sean Connery ("as Agent 007"), Honor Blackman ("as Pussy Galore"), Gert Frobe (in the title role; billed as "Gert Frobe as Goldfinger"), Harold Sakata (as "Oddjob"), Shirley Eaton (as Jill Masterson, the woman covered in gold paint in the film), Tania Mallet (as Tilly Masterson), Bernard Lee (as "M"), Margaret Nolan (as the girl who provides the background for the main titles, the "nude gold girl" on posters, and also as "Dink", one of the Bond girls!), Nadja Regin, Gerry Duggan, Lois Maxwell (as Moneypenny), Richard Vernon, and Cec Linder NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a REALLY rare test printing of this lobby card! Prior to lobby cards being printed in large quantities, the printing companies would print "test versions" to confirm that all elements of the card were correct (that way they could make final corrections before the printing job was put on the press). They would often print these "test" cards on the back of discarded other lobbies, or other test printings! In the case of this one, it was printed without the yellow plate, on the back of a test printing of an Elvis Presley Roustabout card that had been overprinted with something else (see our image of the front and back of the card). This is certainly an extreme rarity, because very few of these test cards have ever turned up from any movie (although we have had another test card from this movie, but with a different scene)! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good to fine. As described above, this test printing was printed on the back of a card that had had test printing for Roustabout. It was also printed without the yellow plate (so it was an early test). There are red smudges scattered throughout the image that are part of the printing. But the card itself is in excellent condition (see our images of the front and back)!
