The 1964 Summer Games were the first Olympics held in Asia, and the first time South Africa was barred from taking part due to its apartheid system in sports. This is also the first Olympics that the Democratic Republic of Congo participated in. Artist: Yusaku Kamekura & Osamu Hayasaki Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare Japanese "B1" poster that measures 28 1/2" x 40 1/2" [72 x 103 cm]! "B1" posters are FAR more rare than "B2" posters (which measure approximately 20" x 28 1/2"), and because they are larger (similar in size to a U.S. one-sheet), they are more impressive when displayed on a wall! Condition: good. The poster has some water staining scattered in various areas and several light creases throughout. It has creases and some tears of varying lengths around the edges (some are repaired with tape from the back and touched up on front). Certainly the poster could be restored and linenbacked and it would look great, but please bear in mind its defects and cost of restoration before placing a bid. Learn More about condition grades
