The Catman of Paris, the 1946 Lesley Selander France crime mystery feline cat monster horror thriller (about an author who goes to France at the turn of the century, and as soon as he arrives, savage killings from a "cat-like creature" start, and he has mysterious blackouts that make him an extreme suspect, but all is cleared up at the end of this 60-minute movie!) starring Carl Esmond, Lenore Aubert, Adele Mara, Douglass Dumbrille, Gerald Mohr, Fritz Feld, and Robert J. Wilke (uncredited in the title role as The Catman)

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had many tears and tiny areas of paper loss in the vertical foldline and some on the horizontal folds. There was a very long semi-circular tear running from the center of the top border down through the right edge of the Catman's face, and circling around to the middle of the right border. The poster had many pinholes, tears, and tiny paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was backed and the person did a fairly good job with the image area, given the major defects, but the restoration paint they used in the borders has cracked and bubbled all around (see our super-sized image). Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have further restoration performed.
