An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Style B Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 21 1/4" x 28" [54 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) All I Desire, the 1953 Douglas Sirk family relationship romantic melodrama ("Now he knew she had known other nights like this!"; "Now he knew her as other men had!"; "Produced by Ross Hunter"; about a woman from the wrong side of the tracks who marries well, but never fits in, and she deserts her husband and two daughters to pursue an acting career but ends up a burlesque dancer and finally returns home to a very mixed reaction!) starring Barbara Stanwyck, Richard Carlson, Lyle Bettger, Marcia Henderson, Lori Nelson, Maureen O'Sullivan, and Richard Long. Note that this movie is not as classic as later Douglas Sirk/Ross Hunter productions, but it includes most of the elements from those, and Barbara Stanwyck gives her usual wonderful "bad girl" performance, two decades after she first started giving them! We have auctioned one style A half-sheet poster for this title, but never before this style B poster in all our years of auctioning! Note also that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 21 1/4" x 28" [54 x 71 cm]. Also note that this poster has never been machine folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were machine folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT machine folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: good. The poster was trimmed along the upper blank border and it has some slight discoloration at lower left (see our image).
