Artist: Tom Jung Important Added Info: Note that this is a VERY unusual poster! Why? Because it is printed on a "matte" paper (non-glossy), while almost all other one-sheets of this type (NSS style B) that we have previously seen have been printed on glossy paper! So how do we explain this poster? Perhaps it is from some sort of test run, and then it was decided to make the posters glossy. We contacted the leading Star Wars experts and asked them if they have ever seen this poster before, or know anything more about it, and they replied that they thought it might be an "after-hours" run or perhaps used to "clean the printing plates", but they had never seen or heard of it before either. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this poster has a slight printing issue that only affects the last characters of the Title and NSS number in the bottom white border. All of the Empire style B posters that were produced by the National Screen Service are like this and it is not considered a defect. Condition: good. There is light rippling scattered in portions of the poster due to exposure to moisture. It is not as distracting as usual, and the poster is a good candidate for restoration. It is likely that many or most of the very light ripples can be removed chemically, and after proper linenbacking the poster will display well, but bear in mind the very rare poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
