An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Premiere Promotional Folder (measures 7" x 9 1/2" [18 x 24 cm]; contains 15 two-sided Art Stills that measure 6 1/4" x 9 1/4" and a 4 page program that measures 5" x 7" when folded) (Learn More) Madame Sans-Gene, the 1925 Leonce Perret silent France romantic comedy ("From the famous play by Victorien Sardou and Emile Moreau") starring Gloria Swanson (in the title role as Catherine Hubscher), Emile Drain (as Napoleon Bonaparte), Charles de Rochefort, Madeleine Guitty, and Warwick Ward. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving complete copies are thought to exist (the trailer survives). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the front of the program (not pictured) has text that reads "Grauman's Million Dollar Theatre Los Angeles welcomes Gloria Swanson and the Paramount Pictures International Convention, Friday Evening April Twenty-four Nineteen twenty-five" printed on it. The two-sided art stills contained in the folder have really cool images of Gloria Swanson and scenes from the movie on the front and notes on the back with a biography of the stars pictured (or a synopsis of the scenes on the front). The art stills are numbered and it appears that this promotional folder contains the complete set from the Grauman's Theater premiere of this movie in 1925! Condition: very good. There are smudges and tiny stains scattered throughout the outside of the folder the items are contained in and there are a few small areas of pencil writing on the inside of the folder. The art stills have a few areas of ink transfer from them being stacked on top of each other too soon after printing and there are a few minor creases in the blank corners of some of the art stills.
