An Original Vintage Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh) (Learn More) Carl Laemmle Anniversary Month, the c1925 Carl Laemmle festival with "specially selected programs" ("For all lovers of good pictures") starring Hoot Gibson, Reginald Denny, Claire Windsor, Billy Sullivan, Herbert Rawlinson, Mary Philbin, Jack Hoxie, Eileen Sedgwick (one of the only true cowgirl stars of the silent era, she had starred in serials for years, and when westerns became popular in the mid-1920s, she starred in several of those), Norman Kerry, Virginia Valli, William Duncan, Edith Johnson, Priscilla Dean, Lon Chaney Sr, William Desmond, Laura La Planate, Babby Peggy, and Hayden Stevenson. Note that Universal pretty much began in 1915, and it would seem quite likely that this poster was created so celebrate its 10th anniversary, which would have been in 1925. That also makes sense based on the stars who are pictured, and the fact that they are all given equal billing (I would think that if this poster dated from just one or two years later, that Lon Chaney, Sr. would have received far more prominent billing!)
