An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded German Movie Poster (measures 29 3/4" x 43 1/4" [76 x 110 cm]) (Learn More) Broncho Billy and the Rustler's Child, the 1913 Gilbert M. 'Broncho Billy' Anderson silent family relationship cowboy western crime melodrama (about a man forced to steal horses to save his sick wife and Broncho Billy is called upon to investigate but winds up helping the man!) starring Gilbert M. 'Broncho Billy' Anderson, Beinsley Shaw, Eugenia Clinchard (in the title role as the rustler's child), and Evelyn Selbie NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only auctioned three examples of this poster before! It is an extremely rare pre-World War II German "country of origin" poster. Virtually no German posters survive from before, during, or right after World War II. Apparently there were many paper shortages in France during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all pre-World War II posters! The poster has the title in German at the top but the rest of it is in English, indicating that Essanay created multiple posters with the title in different languages and distributed them to various countries. We had never seen an example of this poster with a title in another language, but it is virtually a certainty that they were created. Condition: good. The poster has pieces of stickers or labels, as well as some stains around the edges and there is staining along the lower vertical foldline (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
