An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Day of the Woman (also released as "I Spit on Your Grave" and "I Hate Your Guts"), the 1978 Meir Zarchi rape revenge horror thriller ("This woman has just cut, chopped, broken, and burned five men beyond recognition... but no jury in America would ever convict her!"; "...an act of revenge!"; "After it was all over... She waited... Then she struck back in a way only a woman can!"; "'Day of the Woman'... the ultimate day of terror") starring Camille Keaton, Eron Tabor, Richard Pace, Anthony Nichols, Gunter Kleemann, Alexis Magnotti, and Tammy Zarchi. Note that the woman with her back turned on the one-sheet poster is Demi Moore at the age of 16, right at the beginning of her modeling career! Also note that this movie had a very limited first release as "Day of the Woman" by Cinemagic Pictures, and until June 2017, we had never personally seen ANY item with that title, and we were wondering if the images we had seen on the Internet were not from an intended but cancelled release. However, in June 2017, we were consigned the one-sheet from the release as "Day of the Woman", so we know now that one-sheets were actually printed, but we still can't say for certain how many theaters it might have played at. We also wonder about the alternate title "I Hate Your Guts", because we have seen posters with that title, but they seem to be from the 1950s or 1960s movie, and we have never seen a 1978 poster with that title. If anyone knows more about any of this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
