An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (Learn More) Saucy Madeline, the 1918 F. Richard Jones silent slapstick comedy short (produced by Mack Sennett; we don't know the plot of the movie, but part of it takes place in a bowling alley, and part of it in a bar!) starring Ben Turpin, Heinie Conklin (billed as "Charlie Lynn"), Polly Moran, Wayland Trask, and F. Richard Jones. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that Heinie Conklin was born Charles John Conklin, but was of German background and was nicknamed "Heinie". This was not a problem until the U.S. entered World War I at the end of 1917, and anti-German sentiment ran high in the U.S., and during the time, Heinie Conklin was billed as "Charlie Lynn" or "Charles Lynn". Also note that Heinie Conklin was in movies at the same time as Chester Conklin, but they weren't related. Heinie Conklin went on to appear in many 1920s comedies and some "A" movies, including "All Quiet on the Western Front". NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good.
