the circa 1956 Millford, Massachusetts State Theatre local theater window card giving the movies that were playing at that theater for the upcoming week: The Littlest Outlaw, the 1955 Walt Disney Roberto Gavaldon Mexico family melodrama ("Watch out! For the boy...who stole the general's horse the matador's cheers...the bandits' thunder and the hearts of everyone!"; "Every so often from out of nowhere... comes a special kind of motion picture!") starring Pedro Armendariz, Joseph Calleia, Rodolfo Acosta, Andres Velasquez (billed as "introducing Andres Velasquez"), and Laila Maley AND Johnny Appleseed, the 1955 Walt Disney animated cartoon family short ("The Great American Legend Comes to Life in Music and Animation!"). If you have any other information for this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. AND Northwest Passage ("Book 1 - Rogers' Rangers"), the 1940 King Vidor Revolutionary War era adventure thriller (based on the classic novel by Kenneth Roberts; this was intended to be the first of a trilogy of movies based on the classic novel "Northwest Passage", and was advertised as "Book 1 - Rogers' Rangers", but the second and third movies were not made, likely due to the difficulties of filming on location, and perhaps the stars did not want to go through that experience again!) starring Spencer Tracy, Robert Young, Walter Brennan, Ruth Hussey, and Nat Pendleton AND The Conqueror, the 1956 Dick Powell action adventure epic ("I am Temujin... Barbarian... I fight! I love! I conquer... Like a Barbarian!"; "2 years in the making... At a cost of $6,000,000!"; "The world? I will take it! The woman? I will tame her!"; produced by Howard Hughes; "Under his heel... Cowering nations! In his arms... An untamed woman!"; "Spectacular as its barbaric passions and savage conquests... 2 years in the making... At a cost of $6,000,000!"; "This Tartar woman is for me and my blood says take her!") starring John Wayne (as Genghis Khan!), Susan Hayward, Pedro Armendariz, Agnes Moorehead, Thomas Gomez, John Hoyt, William Conrad, and Ted de Corsia
