An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Edward Sloman was an English director from the 1910s to the 1930s. Some of his notable works include: Murder by the Clock, Puttin' on the Ritz, and A Dog of Flanders. He passed away in 1972 at the age of 89. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Edward Sloman (he autographed it to legendary makeup man Max Factor, who he called "the King of Make-up")! Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock (the image is of a photo that was printed on a linen-like texture, but the still itself is not, which means that it is a second generation photo). However, it is clearly a vintage photo, and we would be surprised if it is from after the 1920s (perhaps they ran out of the original supply of these and then printed more on a non-linen-textured stock). Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who has been a major movie memorabilia dealer for many years. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both collectors and people who worked on movies, and in some of those collections he purchased many autographed items, and sometimes he met with celebrities and had them autograph items he owned in person. Both we and our consignor feel it is extremely likely that the autograph on this item is authentic, but he does not have a certificate of authenticity. Condition: good to very good. There are some small brown stains around the edges and tiny pinholes in the corners. Learn More about condition grades
