An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Die Nibelungen, Teil 1: Siegfried (released in the U.S. in 1968 as "Whom the Gods Wish to Destroy"), the 1966 Harald Reinl German/Yugoslavian adventure fantasy epic ("In 70mm and Full Stereophonic Sound!"; "Pagan Passion Pagan Love!") starring Uwe Beyer ("as Siegfried"), Rolf Henninger ("as Konig Gunther"), Siegfried Wischnewski ("as Hagen"), Maria Marlow ("as Kriemhild"), Hans Von Borsody, Terence Hill (billed as "Mario Girotti", which was his birth name!), Dieter Eppler, Hilde Weissner, Benno Hoffmann, Karin Dor ("as Brunhild"), Fred Williams, Herbert Lom ("as Attila"), and Karin Dor. Note that this movie was a remake of the classic 1924 Fritz Lang movie "Siegfried". NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an "international" style one-sheet (meaning it was printed in the U.S. for use in non-U.S. countries). Note the lack of a ratings box and NSS information. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Note that we gave this condition grade to a very few posters that were in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, but which were not all that well linenbacked, and which could be fairly easily re-backed with only minor additional restoration. The poster had some creases and scuffs in the top 4" of the vertical foldline, and minor wear on the other foldlines. There were pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great! Learn More about condition grades
