An Original Vintage Underground Comix (measures 6 3/4" x 9 1/2" [17 x 24 cm]) (Learn More) Zap Comix is an underground comix comic book series from 1968 to 2014. It featured extremely early art by Robert Crumb, S. Clay Wilson, and many of the other early legendary underground comic artists. Zap was originally part of the youth counterculture of the late 1960s and became the model for the "comix" movement that followed after its release. Artist: Robert Crumb Important Added Info: Note that we believe this is from the second printing of this classic underground comic, which was published AFTER Zap #1 (Crumb had lent the artwork to someone and it disappeared, so #1 and #2 were printed first, but after that, they were able to print this off of photostats that Crumb had located, and much later the art was recovered)! Telling the different printings apart can be difficult, but we researched this and we feel pretty certain about it (plus, it was found together with a first printing of Zap #1, so clearly the person who bought these bought them very early on). Please note that we don't use a "comic guide" grading system, and OUR grading scale is completely different from standard comic book grading. Our "very good" is completely different from a comic book graded "very good". We provide images of the comic book covers, which should allow you to get a sense of the condition of this comic book. Condition: very good. Note that this comic book will be sent to the winning bidder in a brand new Mylite2 protective sleeve and a half-back 100% acid-free backing board.
