An Original Vintage English Magazine Page (measures 11" x 17" [28 x 43 cm]; 2-page spread) (Learn More) Red Dust, the classic 1932 Victor Fleming pre-Code romantic love triangle melodrama (set on a rubber plantation in Indochina, with Gable forced to choose between "good" Mary Astor, and "bad" Jean Harlow, who was basically a prostitute) starring Clark Gable, Jean Harlow, Gene Raymond, Mary Astor, Donald Crisp, and Tully Marshall. This was a pre-Code movie, and the steamy scenes between the stars helped bring about the Code (and the censorship it brought). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that in the late 1920s and early 1930s, the top English movie magazines started including "supplements" in the center of the magazine (sometimes they were bound in, and sometimes they were loose). These were like the Sunday newspaper "rotogravure" sections, and were all sepia and had great images from then-current movies. This particular one has a great two-page image of Harlow and Gable from Red Dust. There is printing and pictures on the reverse, but we don't picture that, because what is of interest is the Red Dust image, which is very suitable for framing. Condition: good.
