An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card #7 (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (released in other English-speaking countries as "Butch Cassidy" and as "Butch Cassidy and the Kid"), the classic 1969 George Roy Hill (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) outlaw cowboy western ("You've never met a pair like Butch and The Kid"; "Not that it matters, but most of it is true."; "They're taking trains... They're taking banks... And they're taking one piece of baggage!"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; with a superb script by William Goldman) starring Paul Newman (in the title role as Butch Cassidy; "is Butch Cassidy"), Robert Redford (in the title role as The Sundance Kid; "The Sundance Kid is Robert Redford"), Katharine Ross ("is Etta Place"), Strother Martin, Jeff Corey (as the old sheriff), Henry Jones (as the bike salesman), Ted Cassidy (as Harvey Logan), George Furth (as Woodcock), Cloris Leachman (as Agnes), Kenneth Mars (as the Marshal), Timothy Scott (as News Carver), and Charles Dierkop (as Flat Nose Curry) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that first release lobby cards from this classic western are rare, as compared to other lobby cards of this time period. Perhaps this is because the movie had a quick re-release in 1973, although those 1973 re-release lobby cards are also scarce! Note however that the 1973 scene cards are very often confused for original cards, because they do not have any NSS information in the bottom right corner, and they DO have a 1969 copyright in the bottom left corner, which causes people to either accidentally or intentionally sell them as originals. But this card is absolutely a rare 1969 original card, because it does have the correct 1969 NSS information in the bottom right corner, which the 1973 re-release cards do not have. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
