An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) Heart of the Rio Grande, the 1942 William Morgan Texas singing cowboy western musical ("Hear Gene Sing... 'Deep In The Heart of Texas'"; "Based on a a story by Newlin B. Wildes") starring Gene Autry, Smiley Burnette, Fay McKenzie, Edith Fellows, Pierre Watkin, Joe Strauch Jr., William Haade, and The Jimmy Wakely Trio. Note that in 1941, the producers had the fun idea of giving sidekick Smiley Burnette (who played "Frog") a youthful sidekick of his own, and they hired young Joe Strauch Jr., who played that part in six of these movies, and naturally, his character was nicknamed "Tadpole"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been machine folded! Most insert posters were folded twice horizontally right off of the printing press. It is very difficult to find an unfolded copy of most inserts, especially from before 1970! Condition: fine.
