When Lightning Strikes, the 1934 Burton King & Harry Revier canine dog German Shepherd family adventure melodrama starring Lightning ("The Wonder Dog"; in the title role), Francis X. Bushman Jr., William Desmond, Ralph Bushman, Alice Dahl, J.P. McGowan, Tom London, Ralph MacQuarrie, Marion Sais, and Blackie Whiteford. Note that Lightning made an uncredited appearance in the 1934 movie, "The Case of the Howling Dog", and that got him discovered and he starred in a half dozen movies over the next three year, after which he retired from the screen!
