Date Sold 1/16/2018Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 13 1/2" x 15 1/4" [34 x 39 cm]) (Learn More) Age of Indiscretion, the 1935 Edward Ludwig romantic love triangle family relationship melodrama ("Give love a chance!"; about a book publisher who is married with a young son, and when his business starts failing, his wife deserts him for a rich man, leaving their young son behind, but when he publishes a best-seller by a female novelist, his ex-wife becomes jealous and sues for custody of the boy) starring Paul Lukas, Madge Evans, Helen Vinson, May Robson, and David Holt (billed as "David Jack Holt"; a child actor of the 1930s, who lost his big break when he was replaced in the lead in David Copperfield by Freddie Bartholomew, because he wasn't English; he quit acting and later became a songwriter and then quit show business altogether; he is sometimes mistakenly referred to as being related to Jack Holt, the Columbia star, but they were not related) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1935 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single U.S. poster, lobby card, or still from this movie until we received this window card! Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 13 1/2" x 15 1/4" [34 x 39 cm]. Also note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: fair to good. The card was trimmed on all four sides. Because we have never auctioned it before, we are not exactly sure what is missing, but it seems that most of the title, credits, and image are all present (see our image). There is additional paper loss in the bottom corners and someone put glitter on the letters of the title. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have them properly restored. Learn More about condition grades
