Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) The Bounty, the 1984 Roger Donaldson English/U.S. Naval Navy mutiny seafaring epic melodrama ("William Bligh and Fletcher Christian. They were friends through hell. They became enemies in Paradise."; "After 200 years, the truth behind the legend."; "An epic saga of passion, betrayal and heroism."; "Based on the book 'Captain Bligh and Mr. Christian' by Richard Hough") starring Mel Gibson (as Fletcher Christian), Anthony Hopkins (as Lieutenant Bligh), Laurence Olivier ("as Admiral Hood"), Edward Fox (as Captain Greetham), Liam Neeson, Bernard Hill (as William Cole), and Tevaite Vernette (a Tahitian actress). Note that this was a partial remake of the 1935 movie "Mutiny on the Bounty", which was based on the trilogy of books by Nordoff and Hall, which was remade in 1962, but this movie used a different source book, and took a somewhat different view of the events. Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet came directly from an individual who worked at Universal Pictures in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. He received many samples of posters which he carefully saved. Not only are they in wonderful condition (practically brand new unless otherwise noted), but his collection includes some posters that are extremely rare, and in fact, he may have some posters which were only made as samples and never were generally distributed! Condition: fine. There are some very faint creases within the image area (from rolling and unrolling), but overall this poster is in really great condition!.. Note that this poster was never folded. Most movie posters from before 1980 were machine folded immediately after printing, but a very few were left unfolded. An unfolded poster from before 1980 is almost always far more difficult to find than a folded poster of the same title, and finding unfolded posters in excellent condition is even more difficult!
