An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Mum's the Word, the 1926 Leo McCarey romantic slapstick comedy short ("'Mum's the word, Charley my boy.'"; produced by Hal Roach; about a woman who marries a rich man but conceals the fact that she has a son so she tells the husband her son is the "butler"; the husband brings into the house a new young maid and the son and the maid fall in love, and after everyone gets suspicious of each other it is revealed that the maid is actually the husband's daughter!) starring Charley Chase (primarily remembered as a great silent comedian who appeared in 276 movies, most of them comedy shorts, Chase also directed 140 comedy shorts), Virginia Pearson, Martha Sleeper, and Anders Randolf NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: good. There are some tiny dots of image loss at top center. Someone cut out the bottom blank area where a theater would put its show dates (this is not that uncommon with glass slides).
