An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Movie Window Card (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) The Gay Deception, the 1935 William Wyler New York romantic poor-girl-has-romance-with-rich-man-posing-as-bellboy comedy (about a girl who wins a lottery, so she can live like a queen, and falls in love with a bellboy who's really a prince!) starring Francis Lederer, Frances Dee, Benita Hume, Alan Mowbray, Lennox Pawle, Adele St. Mauer, and Akim Tamiroff NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this window card, and only one in the last 18 years! Not only that, the only other movie paper items we have auctioned from this movie are three stills and a pressbook. Also note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: good to very good. The poster has a tiny pinhole in Dee's cheek and one in each corner. It has two faint scuff line running down the left of Lederer's face and some scuff marks scattered in the background areas and in Lederer's credit. There are stains in top left and on the back of the bottom 6" of the card, but fortunately they do not affect the front. Learn More about condition grades
