A Woman Commands, the 1932 Paul L. Stein romantic melodrama ("The Screen Receives Negri's Magic Voice!") starring Pola Negri, Roland Young, Basil Rathbone, H.B. Warner, and Reginald Owen. Note that Pola Negri had a thick German accent, and her career went dramatically downhill after the advent of sound. In this, her first movie after a three year layoff (during which time perhaps she took voice lessons?), the studio tried to make her accent a plus by promoting it as her "magic" voice, but it did not work, and she had markedly less success in sound movies.
