The monster is loose!"; "Based upon the Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley Story"; "Adapted by John L. Balderston from the play by Peggy Webling"; the first of the Universal "Frankenstein" movies, and regarded as one of the finer movies of any genre, in large part due to the marvelous acting of Boris Karloff, and the marvelous direction of James Whale!) starring Colin Clive (as Dr. Herbert V. Frankenstein), Boris Karloff (as the Frankenstein monster), Edward Van Sloan, Fredric Kerr, Mae Clarke, Dwight Frye (extremely memorable as Fritz), and John Boles NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this iron-on transfer, and that example has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example we have ever auctioned! We are guessing that this was created in the 1970s, but of course, we could be off. We were wanting to be conservative, and we don't think it is newer than the 1970s. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. The transfer has darkened and it has some creases scattered in various areas throughout, but otherwise it is in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
