Note that this was the second Superman serial (the first was simply titled "Superman", and was released in 1948, with the same actors as in this serial). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Glenn Cravath Important Added Info: Note that, for unknown reasons, almost every example of a one-sheet from this movie that has survived is in much lesser condition! It is likely because of the paper stock that was used. It must have had a very high acid content, because the surviving posters I have seen all have turned a pretty dark brown, and all are extremely fragile, and many have much paper loss. It is obviously very sad, because these are some of the coolest comic book character posters there are, but one needs to accept this, because finding one in excellent unrestored condition might take you the rest of your life! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tears and areas of paper loss scattered down the vertical fold and a lesser amount on the horizontal folds. It had some paper loss scattered in the blank borders. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
