When World War I began, Germany invaded neutral Belgium in an attempt to capture Paris quickly. It was this action that caused the British to enter the war, as they were bound by an 1839 agreement to protect Belgium in the event of war. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. The poster is fragile and it has separation on parts of the folds and some tears, as well as pinholes and small paper loss in the corners. This extremely rare poster can be backed and will display well, but bear in mind its defects and the cost of restoration before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
