I Love How You Have Placed Me!"), the 1951 Gilberto Martinez Solares Mexican romantic comedy (about a baker trying to woo a high-class woman) starring German Valdes (billed as "Tin-Tan"), Rebeca Iturbide, Marcelo Chavez, Famie Kaufman, and Jorge Reyes Artist: Ernesto Garcia Cabral Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this Mexican poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie, and that was 7 years ago, when it sold for $533! Also note that this poster has artwork that we believe to be the work of famed Mexican poster artist Ernesto Garcia Cabral, but we confirm this. Note that this linenbacked Mexican poster (and 98 others, which we are auctioning in 99 separate auctions) comes from a remarkable collection of Mexican posters which was assembled over many decades! We auctioned the first 81 of these in our August 2023 Major Auction, and those included many great rarities, and they sold for as much as $2,505, but there were also a number of great bargains that sold for well under the cost of linenbacking alone! Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking.
