L'Armoire Volante (released in English-speaking countries as "The Cupboard Was Bare"), the 1948 Carlo Rim French inheritance crime slapstick comedy (about a mild-mannered man whose rich aunt dies and he can't collect his inheritance unless he can prove she has died, and unfortunately, her body is being accidentally transported all over town!) starring Fernandel, Berthe Bovy, Germaine Kerjean, Albert Dinan, and Maximilienne

Artist: Henri Cerutti
Important Added Info: Note that French posters from the first few years after World War II are among the most rare posters there are! Apparently, there were still major paper shortages in France, and few posters were printed, and most were recycled. This is an extremely rare French poster from 1948, which we have never auctioned before, and which is a "country of origin" poster for this French movie!

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on parts of some folds, with darkening on parts of some folds. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
