eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result BLACK JACK ('27) 1sh '27 Lease from Hershenson/Allen ArchiveAn Original Vintage One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh) (Learn More) Black Jack, the 1927 Orville O. Dull silent Nevada romantic poker gambling cowboy western ("A Whirlwind Romance of the Lawless Days in Old Nevada"; "Story by Johnston McCulley"; about a professional gambler in the Old West, who wins everybody's money in a poker game, and then is chased out of town, and he meets up with a beautiful young woman who has a third of a coin, and when combined with the other two thirds, the coin forms a map of a great gold mine, and the cowboy goes partners with her, but there are bad guys who will stop at nothing to get the coin!) starring Buck Jones, Barbara Bennett, Theodore Lorch, George Berrell, and Harry Cording. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
