Bardelys the Magnificent, the 1926 King Vidor silent historical swashbuckling romantic melodrama (based on the story by Rafael Sabatini) starring John Gilbert (in the title role as Marquis Christian de Bardelys), Eleanor Boardman, Roy D'Arcy, Lionel Belmore, Emily Fitzroy, George K. Arthur, Arthur Lubin (as King Louis XIII), John Wayne (only 19 years-old and in an extremely early uncredited role as a guard!), and Lou Costello (an unbilled extra in his first movie!)
