Note that the play this movie was based on introduced the wonderful haunting romantic song "Speak Low", written by Kurt Weill, with an assist from William Shakespeare, and in this movie, it is presented really well (although Ava Gardner had to be dubbed). Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this poster, and that was 13 years ago. The buyer of that poster had it linenbacked and has now reconsigned it to us, so this is still the only example we have ever auctioned! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had tiny creases, scuffs, and bits of surface paper loss on parts of the folds, with pinholes around the edges and tears in the bottom right corner. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
