An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style D One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Flame of New Orleans, the 1941 Rene Clair Louisiana romantic love triangle comedy (about a beautiful cabaret singer who can't choose between a rich banker and a dashing sea captain) starring Marlene Dietrich, Bruce Cabot, Roland Young, Mischa Auer, Andy Devine, Melville Cooper, Eddie Quillan, Laura Hope Crews, Frank Jenks, Theresa Harris, Clarence Muse, and Shemp Howard (in an uncredited role as an "Oyster Bed Cafe Waiter"!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had a 13" tear in the bottom left of the image going through Auer's chin and ending at the middle of the bottom of the poster. It had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some smudges and scuffs on parts of the foldlines, with pinholes and some tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
