An Original Vintage Theatrical Local Theater Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 18" x 28 1/4") (Learn More)

the 1941 Tegu Theatre local theater window card giving the movies that were playing at that theater for the upcoming week ("Tru-Blue Enamelware to the ladies"): Forth Thousand (40,000) Horsemen, the 1941 Charles Chauvel Australian World War I (One) military action thriller ("The Fighting Anzacs"; "Magnificent in its inspired conception! Heroic spectacles that baffles description!"; "Adventure soul-stirring in its march across the broad canvas of nationhood... In the relentless spirit of men selling life dearly on the battlefield for the glory of victory. Action of tingling immensity as the greatest cavalry force in history - the Australian Light Horse - charges to victory. Romance that is born to blossom in a strange atmosphere. Fiction has known no greater love than Juliet devoted to the man of her heart.") starring ("with a mighty cast headed by") Betty Bryant, Grant Taylor, Chips Rafferty, Pat Twohill, Harvey Adams and Michael Pate AND Moonlight in Hawaii, the 1941 Charles Lamont musical comedy starring Jane Frazee, Leon Errol, Mischa Auer, The Merry Macs, Johnny Downs, and Maria Montez AND Harmon of Michigan, the 1941 Charles Barton college football sports biography ("The greatest grid star of them all... in a fast and furious thriller!") starring Tom Harmon, Anita Louise, and Forest Evanshevski ("Harmon's Great Team-Mate"), Oscar O'Shea, and Warren Ashe. Note that Tom Harmon was an extremely popular football player for the University of Michigan Wolverines. After his college career, his popularity caused Hollywood to make this biography of him, with Harmon playing himself. Soon after, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps, and was a war hero. After the war, he briefly played for the Los Angeles Rams, but his war injuries prevented him from being a major professional star. He later became an important radio broadcaster, and married movie star Elyse Knox and was the father of Mark Harmon, Christie Harmon, and Kelly Harmon. Many football fans consider him among the absolute finest college football players of all time! AND Jungle Man, the 1941 Harry L. Fraser jungle adventure thriller starring Buster Crabbe, Charles Middleton, Sheila Darcy, and Vince Barnett AND The Man From Montana, the 1941 Ray Taylor cowboy western starring Johnny Mack Brown, Fuzzy Knight, Nell O'Day, Billy Lenhart, and Kenneth Brown

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this window card was made for a specific local theater (the "Tegu Theatre" in Morrisville). Often larger theaters would hire local artists to create their own "local theater window cards" like this one. They would often feature artwork that appeared on no other posters, and they were NOT issued by the studio that released the movie. Also note that this window card is not "roll-able", because the paper is thick enough and it is fragile enough that rolling it would damage it. Therefore we will send it in a large flat package that measures approximately 19" x 28". Please bear that extra shipping cost in mind BEFORE placing a bid on this poster!

Condition: good. There are nail holes, tears, and water stains around the edges of the card.
