Spoiled material is all loss. Waste raises costs, threatens income, kills jobs. Defeat waste -- or it will defeat you!"; "Do your part! Your work makes a difference") encouraging workers to be conservative with materials, and featuring art of an ogre with a club. The Sheldon-Claire Co was founded by Lew Shalett during the 1930s to provide employee motivational materials to industry. The posters and other materials were used by a wide range of companies, associations, government agencies, municipalities and other organizations. In 1981, Mr. Shallet sold his employee motivation program to Pratt & Whitney (however, that firm found that there was no market for it anymore and it was discontinued). If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Condition: good. The poster has discoloration along the lower large blank border with some surface paper loss at lower left. It has tiny areas of paper loss scattered along the center of the image area (starting below the words in white at right). There is a tear at left that has been repaired with tape from the back. It is otherwise "all there" after proper restoration the rare poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
