Date Sold 7/4/2023 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 32 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) Emanuelle Nera (released in the U.S. as "Black Emanuelle" and "Emanuelle's Holiday"), the 1975 Bitto Albertini (billed as "Albert Thomas") Italian/Spanish sexploitation movie ("A New Experience In Sensuality."; "No one is ever the same after... Black Emanuelle"; "Emanuelle's a girl who's going places. FOLLOW HER. She'll take you where you've never been.") starring Laura Gemser (in the title role as Emanuelle), Karin Schubert, Gabriele Tinti, Roger Browne, Riccardo Salvino, Maria Piera Regoli, Matilde Dell'aglio, Stefania Nocilli, Karin Schubert, Angelo Infanti, Don Powell, and Isabelle Marchall. Note that after the success of the 1974 film Emmanuelle, many authorized sequels were created. The success also spawned many "knock-off" Emmanuelle films, which included the name Emmanuelle or its variants in their titles for exploitative reasons, but were not connected to the original series. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that these stills appear in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower right of each still. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". A collector has told us that he believes this means the stills were printed for use in areas that included French-speaking parts of Canada, but that they WERE printed in the U.S., and that makes complete sense to us (and we have seen this on stills from the 1940s through the early 2000s, so it has certainly been done for an extremely long time)! So they are original stills from 1975, but they were printed partially for use in French-speaking Canada. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this auction also includes the printed envelope this item originally came with! Finally, note that this item contains some nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars.
