A Day at the Races, the classic 1937 Sam Wood horse racing sports gambling screwball comedy ("The year's big laugh, music and girl show!") starring the Marx Brothers (Groucho Marx, Chico Marx, and Harpo Marx), Allan Jones, Maureen O'Sullivan, Margaret Dumont, Esther Muir, Douglass Dumbrille, Sig Ruman, Leonard Ceeley, and Dorothy Dandridge (in an uncredited early role, in a sequence where a large number of young black African American men and women sing with Harpo). Note that this movie includes the classic comedy sequence where Groucho tries to buy a horse racing tip from Chico's Tootsie-Frootsie ice cream cart!

Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this English program, which was printed for the Empire Theatre, showing all the movies they were showing for that week, including The Marx Brothers in A Day at the Races! Also note that we have provided an image of all the pages of this 4-page program (we did this by opening it and laying it flat and photographing the front and back cover together, and the interior two pages together). This way, you see the entire program, and can well determine the exact condition of it from our super-sized image. But of course this means that the front cover appears in the top right of our image, but normally, the program would be folded down the center and you would view the cover by itself (and it will be sent folded as was originally intended).
