An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Still (Learn More) Robin Hood of El Dorado, the 1936 William A. Wellman south-of-the-border Mexico/Old California romantic cowboy western ("The bandit who defied a nation!"; "The bandit who fought a nation!"; about a Mexican man whose wife is killed by four Americans, and he kills them in revenge, and a reward is put on his head; he joins with other bandits and creates a Mexican army rallying against the U.S., of course this was very loosely based on the real life story of Pancho Villa) starring Warner Baxter (as Joaquin Murrieta), Ann Loring, Bruce Cabot, Margo, J. Carrol Naish, Soledad Jimenez, Carlos De Valdez, and Harry Woods NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that a paper snipe was glued to the back of the still, and then folded over to the front. This was done rather than gluing the snipe to the back, so that the snipe could be unfolded and the still could be displayed with the snipe unfolded, which would let moviegoers read the information on the snipe in the lobby (and of course, the snipe would be folded backwards, so it would not show). This was done with many stills of the 1930s, but often, the snipes are either partially or completely lost, because it is easier for them to be torn off.
