An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More)

For Me and My Gal, the 1942 Busby Berkeley New York City Broadway theater stage acting romantic musical ("Greatest musical show ever to thrill your heart!"; "Screen play by Richard Sherman, Fred Finklehoffe and Sid Silvers"; "Original Story by Howard Emmett Rogers") starring Judy Garland, George Murphy, Gene Kelly, Martha Eggerth, Ben Blue, and Richard Quine. Note that this was Gene Kelly's very first movie, but because he was already a Broadway dancing star, he was given a lead role in his first time out!

Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Note that this insert SHOULD not be rolled in a tube, because it can damage the paper backing. Therefore we will send it in a large flat package. Please bear that extra shipping cost in mind BEFORE placing a bid on this poster!

Condition: very good. The poster was folded in the usual way, and there were creases and tiny surface paper loss along the foldlines. There were pinholes, creases, and smudges in the blank borders. The poster was well backed. You can see the slight foldline restoration from a distance, but it is not distracting.
