An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 12" x 18" [30 x 46 cm]) (Learn More) Christine of the Hungry Heart, the 1924 George Archainbaud silent romantic love triangle melodrama ("From the novel by Kathleen Norris"; "Under the personal supervision of Thomas H. Ince"; about a woman who divorces her drunken husband and then marries a doctor, but he is a workaholic, and she and their son move on to an author and she loses custody of her son to the doctor, and she moves back in with her drunken ex-husband, who is now ill; but after he dies, she realizes the error of her ways and moves back in with her doctor ex-husband and her son) starring Florence Vidor (in the title role as Christine Madison), Clive Brook (as the doctor), Ian Keith, Warner Baxter, Walter Hiers, and Lillian Lawrence. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 12" x 18" [30 x 46 cm]. Also note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: fair. The card was found in the back of a frame where it had been used as a backing board for a picture (many framers in the 1930s would use window cards for this purpose, and they would trim them to the size of the frame, not caring that they were cutting into the image!). In this case, the trimming, which was to 12" x 18", affects the left and top of the card, and you can see what is missing by looking at our image (and there are also stains and other defects around the edges, caused by the nails on the back that held the window card into the frame). It is fortunate that most of the title and image remain, but please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have them properly restored.
